Privacy statement
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This statement explains which personal data TrendForge processes, why, and what your rights are. TrendForge consists of the website trendforge.nl and the TrendForge Chrome extension.
Who is responsible
Ettekoven-IT, trading as VestForward, Molenstraat 28, 8081 BC Elburg, the Netherlands (KvK 76729249), is the controller for the data described here. Contact: info@ettekoven-it.nl.
What we process and why
- Account: name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). To give you access and to contact you about your account. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
- Two-step verification: an encrypted secret and recovery codes, when you switch it on. To protect your account.
- Billing details: company name, VAT number, address and country. For invoices and to calculate VAT. We check EU VAT numbers in the European Commission's VIES register. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation (tax law).
- Subscription and payments: plan, status, amounts, dates and the payment method name. Payments are processed by Mollie B.V.; we never receive your card or bank details. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Connected browsers: when you connect the extension, we store a key, the browser name you see on your account page and when it was last used. To recognise the extension.
- Your saved stores: while the extension is connected, it sends the list of Shopify stores you follow (web address, store name, country, currency, number of products, follow date and your labels). To keep your list with your account and to improve the service; our administrators can see it. Your scans, product lists and other research stay on your computer.
- Technical logs: error logs of the website (at most 14 days) and the access logs of our host (IP address, browser and time of requests, as long as the host keeps them). For security and to solve problems. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Emails: account emails (verification, password reset), invoices, payment and trial notices. We do not send newsletters without your permission.
The Chrome extension
The extension stores its data in your own browser: your followed stores, scans, product lists, settings and any Apify API keys you enter. Apify keys are never sent to us; when you use Apify, the extension talks to Apify directly with your own key, and Apify's own terms and privacy statement apply. The extension reads public pages of Shopify stores and Meta's public Ad Library in your browser. It only sends the data described above (your list of followed stores and your licence check) to trendforge.nl.
Who receives data
- Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam): payment processing.
- Mijn.Host (the Netherlands): hosting of the website, database and email.
- The European Commission (VIES): the VAT number you enter, to check it.
- The tax authorities, when the law requires it.
All data is stored in the European Union. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising.
How long we keep data
- Account data: as long as you have an account. After you delete it, within 30 days.
- Invoices and payment records: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
- Error logs of the website: at most 14 days.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email info@ettekoven-it.nl; we answer within a month. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
The website only works over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, secrets are encrypted, administrators use two-step verification and access to the admin panel is limited.
